Watched the British feature film ‘Nowhere Boy’ portraying the early years of John Lennon in my sick-bed(currently housing a post-India stomach squid, oh angry squid) last night. Set to be released in the U.S on the 8th October 2010 to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Lennon’s birth.Great film, wholesome, lovely with some emotional and ever-so sad scenes as the young Lennon (played by the smokin’ hot Aaron Johnson) faces a variety of family problems. I loved little Thomas Sangster that played Paul ‘Macca’ McCartney, kinda looked a lot like Macca does now. Directed by conceptual artist/ photographer Sam Taylor-Wood Nowhere Boy was nominated for four British Academy Film Awards: Outstanding British Film, Best Supporting Actress (Anne-Marie Duff and Kristin Scott Thomas), and Outstanding Debut by Sam Taylor-Wood. Great costumes too, not to be overlooked, the styling was tight, classic 50’s rock ‘n’ roll style. Fully recommend.
