So it’s true I’m learning to drive (3rd time lucky ha!) and need to buy myself a fly ride. I have some pretty beautiful dreams of cruisin’ along in a classic Chevrolet Bel Air ‘56 although, I’d settle for the new Fiat 500 by Gucci. Such decisions! The brilliantly fabulous things about the 500byGucci are the new cars are less greedy on the gas (as my Dad keeps reiterating) , small and nifty for inner city parking, would match my handbag and would look seriously bling. The iconic Fiat 500 has been customised by Gucci’s mega talent, Creative Director Frida Giannini in partnership with Fiat’s Centro Stile.
This Euro-cool collaboration between two of Italy’s most respected brands represents the ideal combination of craftsmanship and style. Launched on the opening day of Milan Fashion Week, the 500byGucci was also presented at the Geneva International Auto Show (3-13th March) in a dedicated Gucci pop-up store within the Fiat stand.
Check out the black and white colours, shiny, shiny chrome paired with interiors that contrast sharp black and white, the super fly 500byGucci will be available in the UK with two brilliant engines: the nimble yet economical 1.2 litre – which will cost £14,565 OTR – and the award-winning 0.9 litre TwinAir, priced at £15,765 OTR. This is pretty darn reasonable for a NEW car and does have the massive advantage of matching your handbag. Outfit coordination is not something to be taken lightly, I’ve seen Clueless, I know!
Fiat’s 500byGucci will be available in the UK this summer. Yes Please.
