2014 in Pictures- A few favourite moments! I want to thank you for your ongoing love, support and for taking the time to read The Fabulous Times blog, it really does mean a lot. I’m humbled by the incredible adventures and inspiring individuals The Fabulous Times has allowed me to experience and connect with. It is an honour and an overwhelming pleasure to share such fabulous times with you! To round of what has been a truly splendid year, I thought it’d be lovely to skip down memory lane looking at a few favourite moments of 2014 in pictures!
January: A winter trip to Brighton rekindled my love affair with JB’s Diner. As a lover of American Rock ‘n’ Roll and a good breakfast, JB’s ticks all the right boxes. When asked where I like to eat & drink in Brighton in an interview for Vintage Brighton Blog, I highlighted JB’s as one of my favourite dining destinations. French toast and berry compote? yes please.
February: Our weekend at the Fairmont Monte-Carlo resort nestled into the rocky landscape between the azure Mediterranean sea and the World famous Monte Carlo Casino. There’s nothing quite like the morning sun and never ending sea views to get a girl out of bed. Bliss
March: Heading from Los Angeles to Temecula Valley AKA wine country! We booked a week at the fabulous Temecula Carriage Ranch in the heart of the Vineyards, surrounded by the biggest wineries in Temecula. What a blast!
The Griffith Park Observatory, Los Angeles! Almost touching the Hollywood sign, hiking the Hollywood trails, sipping soda overlooking the city and enjoying the Californian sunshine.
April: None-stop brunch clubs!! Easter kicked off our season of brunch clubs which has soon become a ritual. Brunch club is a great excuse to practice baking and experiment with new recipes. Our Easter brunch club was such a delight. Just fabulous!
May: Enjoying a spot of lunch at The Boscolo Budapest Hotel formely known as the New York Palace which opened its doors in 1894. The building and its interior ooze Italian- renaissance charm. We escaped a rather hot day in the city to indulge in a spot of lunch at the New York Cafe, Budapest.
June: Holly + Rich’s truly fabulous vintage wedding and of course Brighton beach and the Great British sunshine!! It was such a pleasure to catch up with friends and share in such an incredible day, man I love a good wedding!
July: I officially turned 30 this year, hard to believe? I know! To celebrate we got together for a little soiree where I was taken by surprise when Marilyn Monroe approached the table to sing Happy Birthday >OMG< Here are a few thoughts about The Joy of Adultolescence and hitting a milestone birthday.
August: Dinner on the terrace at the Salle Empire at the Hotel de Paris, Monaco watching a thunderstorm roll in whilst being serenaded by a French lady singing Earth Kitt’s classic ‘C’est si Bon’, what an evening to remember!
September: A fabulous day out in Bronte Country, Haworth- England. I took a day out with Father dearest to visit Haworth and enjoy the sights, sounds and of course Fish & Chips!
October: A day of hilarious laughter and culture, of course. We visited Salt’s Mill experience the Saltaire Festival including the giant Vintage Market, boutique shops, art gallery and live music!
November: I finally overcame a huge personal hurdle and created a vlog which actually included me speaking! (this was a big deal for me) So happy to have ticked that off my list and cannot wait to film more videos next year! Our day trip to Sheffield and filming the video was so much fun.
December: Winter walks wearing Christmas jumpers, what could be more festive? Our day trip to Todmorden- Yorkshire and lunch at my favourite place, the Bear Cafe was an absolute delight and is well worth a visit if you get the chance.
Thank you again for joining me. Love and peace to you all this Christmas and hope you have a fabulous time over the festive season.
