Remember the sunshine? We chose one of our three sunny days of summer so far to visit The Courtyard, Knutsford Cheshire, before lunch we took a trip to Grasslands Nursery to scope out potential wedding foliage for my pending BIG day!
Grasslands Nursery has a whole range of trees, plants and bits for the garden. We spent a little too long in the blazing sun perusing the trees in the wide open space dedicated to every variety of tree you can think of.
Knutsford is a town in Cheshire, England, just south of Manchester. Located in Cheshire’s “Golden Triangle” on the Cheshire Plain just between the Peak District to the east and the Welsh mountains to the west, Knutsford and its surrounding villages are highly affluent and sought after residential areas, with its properties being rated some of the most expensive outside of London.
Just a short drive from Grasslands is The Courtyard coffee house and restaurant. Managing to bag ourselves a table in the sun we ordered from the ‘gluten free’ menu, which was pretty liberating and had ample choice (which made a welcome change from feeling like the awkward intolerant person)
Outside is a pretty courtyard with hanging baskets and seating, inside there’s an intriguing Penny Farthing Museum. I ordered the homemade pate and gluten free toast which was delicious.
If you’re in Knutsford, I’d highly recommend paying the The Courtyard a visit.
