The bedroom should be a place to unwind and relax. Gradually we’re de-cluttering our bedroom to create a relaxed sanctuary of calm, a place to relax and read after a busy day. I thought I’d share a little shopping inspiration that’s inspiring our ongoing bedroom redesign. I’m hoping to share a little article with pictures of our bedroom after the remodel, so watch this space.
Were going for tones of grey/ cream/ white and aiming to layer lots of textures. Our bed frame is to be wood, you can get a fabulous variety of cheap bed frames at the aptly named Zen Bedrooms.
Were focusing on textured fabrics for the bedding, throws and cushions. I love the Clarence Collection from The White Company. We have painted the room already in the Dulux Chic Shadow Paint which is a relaxing neutral and looks so warm and rich compared to a plain cream or magnolia.
This Dunlop Light Pendant is ideal, the shine finish will contrast with the soft textiles and matte finish walls. I’ve taken to burning my Heidi Klein Beach Candle to freshen the room up and give of a summery, coconut scent, the smell fills the room and reminds me of holiday time. In the evening I go for a lavender aromatherapy oil to induce sleep.
To wrap up warm I always have a throw on the bed, this textured throw from the Rosemore Collection at The White Company is exactly what I’m after to go with the new room decor. I also love the idea of painting an old chair white to use as a side table. I can’t waited to get going and share all the new changes to the room after our travel adventures!
