Our recent trip to Brighton rekindled my love affair with JB’s Diner. As a lover of American Rock ‘n’ Roll and a good breakfast, JB’s ticks all the right boxes. When asked where I like to eat & drink in Brighton in an interview for Vintage Brighton Blog, I highlighted JB’s as one of my favourite dining destinations.
There’s a whole hot of reasons to love JB’s diner. In a nutshell: The food kicks some serious butt, the music playing is always well selected 1950’s rock ‘n’ roll, the staff are friendly, fast and fabulous, the atmosphere is super relaxed and you feel just like you’re sitting in a roadside diner on Route 66!
Of course we found time to eat breakfast at JB’s twice during our weekend break. I opted for the French Toast with Berry compote on Day 1. As you can see quite clearly from the pictures, the French Toast was done to perfection. The coffe at JB’s is great and the orange juice is fresh boasting x6 whole oranges per glass. Perfect!
On the Saturday we feasted and chatted about our plans and adventures, we reminisced about our All American road trip, Theresa finally hooked up with Elvis and Sarah enjoyed her orange juice with great intent.
Sunday meant pancakes with a side of bacon for me. Theresa and Sarah had the full English which I can safely say went down a treat. If you’re in Brighton I would strongly recommend heading to JB’s Diner, it’s positioned on the sea front so super easy to access. If you can’t fly over to the USA anytime soon, JB’s is the closest you’ll get to the real deal, with a view of the beautiful British coastline to boot!
