As another year draws to close, I thought I’d look back at the fabulous times! I hope you and your loved ones have all enjoyed 2018 and had a joyous, happy and healthy Christmas holiday. Thank you as ever to any of you fabulous lot that have followed along my adventures and stop by this little corner of the internet once in a while to check in. Here’s a look back at my year in pictures- 2018…
For me 2018 has a had a few overarching themes, living with intention, simplifying and decluttering my life and focusing on health and slowly renovating our home.
January- Back in January I wrote about ‘living with intention’ I would like to think I have practised this throughout the year and aim to do so going into the new year. ‘My list of goals for 2018’ has certainly helped me to stay in some way focused as the year has unfolded. I’ll share how I actually got on with my goals in a separate post! I also shared out initial ‘Kitchen Inspiration’ which is pretty interesting to look back on as we are part way through our Kitchen reno and should be able to share this with you as soon as we finish (it’s been a journey, some of which I have been sharing over on my insta-stories)…
February- My goodness! we certainly got the year off to a flying start with a total transformation of our bathroom. February was the month of the ‘Bathroom Makeover Reveal’ I am happy to report that the bathroom has been a great source of happiness and a peaceful retreat most evenings.
March- March was a month of culture Mr T & I enjoyed the Birmingham Royal Ballet’s Sleeping Beauty and I love recieving my Mario Valentino coffee table book. We also enjoyed some lovely weekend family walks and pretty chilled out weekends.
April- In April we were fortunate enough to visit our friends Juliette and Neal at The Red Kite Boutique Hotel, which was completely idyllic. We went walking with wild horses in the Black Mountains and spend a lovely weekend in Hay on Wye, which I would recommend to anyone.
May- Remember that fabulous weather?! In May I was mostly wearing summer dresses with my pastey-white legs out, absorbing all the vitamin D that Mother Nature could throw at me! We enjoyed a glorious family picnic at Lyme Park in Cheshire.
June- I shared my Kitchen Wishlist back in June, a great way of keeping motivation for our looming project even in the height of summer when nothing was happening around the house (other than lounging on the balcony in the sun) Gina and I enjoyed a jolly spiffing day out having Afternoon Tea at lovely Mottram Hall, Cheshire.
July- My birthday month consisted of wearing nothing but my trusty Joanie Dress and basking in the heat of the beautiful sun. We spent my birthday week in Beaumaris which was the perfect holiday- with Theresa (my sis) heavily pregnant, we didn’t want to have to fly anywhere, the weather in Wales was incredible and we found the ideal spot to get away from everything with the family. Heaven.
August- We chilled around manchester enjoying the sun, we also got an incredibly comfortable new mattress from Leesa– which I got way too excited about. It really is a game changer!
October- In October I was struck with a nasty cold but every cloud and all that, I discovered Manuke Honey and Golden Porridge after a shout out on instagram- it’s the little things! Rather excitingly in October I was also interviewed for the Joanie Clothing blog sharing a little insight into my role as Creative Manager alongside some of the other great gals at Joanie HQ.
November- Mr T and I took a much needed autumn getaway to Lisbon, where we ate lots of good food, experienced the vibrant city and explored the many hidden gems Lisbon has to offer. We also spent a great day out in fairytale-worthy Sintra.
December- The month of December has largely been consumed with our kitchen renovation! I did have the pleasure of enjoying a rather festive weekend exploring my home city of Manchester with my sis, visiting and sharing some of my favourite spots. Here’s a look back at our 24 Hours in Manchester.
If you fancy a laugh/ nosey or just a trip down memory lane, here’s a look back at previous fabulous years, see if you remember any of the posts?…
