Natural and sustainable brand Celtic & Co specialise in ethically sourced style. This year I’ve been making a conscious effort to surround myself with natural materials, be that homeware or clothing. Celtic & Co source the finest natural fibres to create timeless pieces selling everything from sustainable clothing and accessories to homeware. Here’s a look at my natural sustainable slippers from Celtic & Co and a few reasons why they are my new favourite accessory for autumn/ winter…
Natural Sustainable Style
With winter finally creeping up on us, now is the time to begin semi-hibernation. In our home that means a flurry of DIY on the run up to Christmas and reintroducing knitwear to our wardrobe. As soon as I get home most days I usually enjoy a long hot bath and relax, before winding down in my pj’s and slippers. The Sheepskin Bootee Slippers from Celtic & Co have been such a welcome addition to my off-duty wardrobe.
Made In Great Britain
Handmade in Cornwall, the Bootee Slippers are available in a wide variety of colours. The shape is designed to cocoon your feet and boy do they do just that! As well as producing beautiful items, Celtic & Co boast that 75% of their supplier base is here in the UK thus reducing their environmental impact.
Celtic & Co use the finest natural fibres for all of their products, fibres that are completely renewable, sustainable and incredibly soft and comfortable to wear. Normally sheepskin is considered a waste material, so they transform the skins into warm, breathable outerwear and sustainable footwear. The end result is natural sustainable styles that feel very soft and luxurious. They also offer a ‘Reduce, Reuse, Resole’ service, so no need to throw away your footwear- even when you’ve worn them to bits!
Anyone that knows me, will know that I’m very sensitive to texture and can weep in the Cashmere department of any retail store. The Celtic & Co. slippers are on par with the soft touch of cashmere. They are cosy, snug and have a soporific effect- perfect to slip into after a long day.
(Gifted Item- These slippers were very kindly gifted to me to review, all views and opinions are very much my own)
