Look out Malta the fabulous times are coming! I’m packing for a trip to Malta with my lovely family. We decided it was high time we saw the sunshine and defrosted after a long chilly winter here in Manchester, England. It’ s been a whirlwind start to the year, I’ve been busy designing and working like a trooper (more on this to come). I wanted to share a little behind-the-scenes action before we jet off on our winter holidays.
I’m taking with me a perfect selection of new spring dresses which can be worn with cardigans to keep me warm in the event of any sea breeze. Needless to say I’m packing a healthy amount of polka dots and gingham. From top left: Lindybop Ophelia Dress in blue, Coral jersey tea dress from Laura Ashley, Lindybop Carola dress and of course a classic gingham swing dress.
A few accessories: I’m not a huge one for accessories, I usually opt for a pair of pearl earrings, comfy shoes and headscarf, this stands me in good stead when attempting to restrict myself to hand luggage only. For our trip to Malta I’m taking a Colour block shopper from Laura Ashley which is the perfect dimensions for carrying my DSLR around whilst exploring the island along with other daytime essentials. For evenings and dinner I’m packing the comfy classic Rumba shoes from Hotter and will most likely travel in a pair of Hotter polka dot pumps and of course my trusty old Missoni ‘Jackie O’ sunglasses.
Laura Ashley have brought out a nifty little luxury travel set complete with reusable wash bag, shower cream, body lotion, body mist (for those hot days or sweaty flights) and hand cream, so I’ll be packing that for complete convenience.
That’s entertainment: Having graced ourselves with a fortnight on the picturesque Island of Malta I’m planning on doing my fair share of relaxing. To aid my relaxation I’m packing at least two books, Maya Angelou (February’s book club choice) and The Jukebox Queen of Malta, because hey it’s a 1940’s love story set in Malta, perfect! Alongside reading I’m hoping I’ll get chance to crack open my new personalised playing cards, a rather lovely gift from my BFF Christianne over at I Love Events Blog, aren’t they just amazing?
So excited to explore the island of Malta and share our adventures with you. Keep your eyes peeled for travel recommendations and fabulous outfit posts!
