It’s about this time of year when we start planning an Autumn break…Autumn is a fantastic time of year to get away for a final hit of vitamin d before the excitement of Christmas really takes hold. I love to travel in Autumn for several reasons, the crowds have calmed down, midday temperatures are more bearable and it means you get to soak up some lovely sunshine and avoid the grey days, if only for a short while.
Last Autumn Mr T and I travelled to Rome and then onto beautiful Sperlonga which was heavenly! You can read my post which is a little guide to ‘48 Hours in Rome’ and discover Sperlonga one of ‘Italy’s best kept secrets’ – man, I do love Italy. This Autumn we’re looking forward to discovering Europe a little more, a short haul flight is preferable for a little break designed to help us relax and unwind after a fairly busy stint of work/ home reno/ life.
With so many incredible places to visit in Europe, it’s pretty tough to decide where to go. In the mornings I’ve found myself basking in the Autumn sunlight, sipping coffee and flicking through Conde Nast Traveler for inspiration. It would be fabulous to visit Germany and browse the winter markets or perhaps go back to Berlin. There are so many fabulous hotels in excellent locations such as Capri by Fraser, For more info on this hotel, visit https://frankfurt.capribyfraser.com. Decisions, decisions- so many beautiful places!
After much deliberation we came to the decision to head to Lisbon in Portugal! We’re so excited and cannot wait to travel. We both have one pretty busy month in front of us juggling various creative projects and home renovation plans, so will be very grateful for a little time to ourselves to kick back and reboot. Having said that, I’m sure I’ll take my camera and be photographing Lisbon in all it’s glory. (already loving looking at the tiled streets online)
