A beautiful bright bank holiday weekend meant a trip to Beaumaris in Wales to stay with friends, eat ice cream, play on the beach and make rainbows. Sporting my latest Lindy Bop “Marlene” dress I watered the rose bed before noticing that I was making a rainbow! – It really is the little things in everyday life that make me happiest.
Like some baked Venice Beach hippie I began trippin’ the light fantastic skipping around the garden spraying the hosepipe wildly chasing that elusive rainbow- what a thrill.
The Marlene floral day dress comes in a pink floral print and makes the ideal day dress for relaxing, complete with pockets in the side seams (to stash hankies) it has rapidly become my go-to dress to brighten up everyday.
We took a stroll out to Beaumaris Beach to soak up the picture perfect views across the bay. To ensure I could wade out amidst the seaweed I wore my trusty Joules willies. The sea breeze and sunshine soon blew away the smog and weariness of city life into the distance. I’m sure I’ll never know a pastime more calming and empowering than sitting and staring at the horizon, it always puts things into perspective.
