My intention for 2017 was to get harmony and balance in my life, to improve my overall health and wellness, travel a little and relax a lot. Here’s a look back at my year in pictures- 2017:
January- I kicked off the year by setting my intentions, reading up on nutritional healing courses to enrol on and revisiting my favourite healthy recipe books. This quiet time of year is the perfect opportunity for a moment of reflection and to set intentions for the year ahead.
February- Mr T was working on a project up in the Lake District so we took the opportunity to turn the trip into a mini break. I loved seeing the surrounding hilltops covered in snow and to enjoy this beautiful part of the world in the chilly winter weather.March- Reminiscing about our wedding day! I finally got around to sharing posts from our wedding day. I always love looking back over the pictures and video from our special day.April- Spending a blissful week in Ibiza! We spent a week in the north of the Island of Ibiza, mostly unwinding, eating great food and enjoying the sunshine.May- Getting back to nature in Yorkshire. In May we headed to Scarborough to visit the Ox Pasture Hall Hotel, walked amongst the bluebells in the woodland and even managed to find me gluten free fish and chips on the seafront (it’s the little things)!June- Picnicking with Mum in Harrogate. The sun was shining, we strolled around Harrogate did a spot of shopping, ate brunch at Betties Tearooms, went to Harlow Carr for a picnic and walk around the stunning grounds. July- My birthday weekend in The Lakes! It was so much fun to enjoy a break in the Lake District (twice in one year!) this time with the whole family. I loved seeing the difference in light and colour in the summer compared to our chilly January trip.August- Officially becoming homeowners! Hanging out with Pickle and planning home renovations! Mr T and I bought our first home together, we are so excited to start working on the improvements we’ve been planning. If you love seeing Pickle then head over to her Instagram @thetaleofgingerandpickleSeptember- Weekending in Wales and celebrating our first wedding anniversary! Our trip to Wales to celebrate my Mothers birthday and our first wedding anniversary, I’m always blown away by the rich history, beautiful scenery and lovely people of Wales.October- Finally visiting Rome and discovering beautiful Sperlonga! It has been a life long dream to see the Sistine Chapel in real life and I finally made that dream a reality! There are not enough words to describe how incredible Rome was, I truly loved it. The food, the opera, the history. Man, I love Italy.November-Walking in the woods and exploring the countryside. Theresa and I took a trip out on the local railway, discovered a local coffee roasters and enjoyed a lovely day out.December- I spent a lovely weekend in Saltaire with my good buddies, it was really special as Hazel is literally about to give birth (!) so we enjoyed her baby shower and hung out in Salts Mill. The year was topped off with a fabulous Christmas a Theresa and Damien’s new house. Wishing you all the most fabulous new year filled with health, prosperity and love.
