10 Best High School Movies to kick those back-to-school blues. Back to school tomorrow for little ones everywhere and some not-so little ones too. To help prevent those back to school blues I thought I’d share 10 Best High School Movies EVER! These are a few personal favourites; I’d love to hear if you have a favourite I might have missed.
Rebel Without a Cause: A classic landmark teen film that solidified James Dean’s image , Rebel without a cause traces the story of rebellious middle-class teens, disenfranchised with their parents, and given to a life of thuggery and deadly dangerous drag racing to win over women.
Clueless: An obvious choice but you really can’t beat Clueless, it’s inspired high street fashion for the past two seasons with everyone sporting crop tops and skater skirts. Clueless was not just an iconic teen feel good film but also a fashion inspiration, I mean who wouldn’t want Cher’s wardrobe?

History Boys: The History Boys is a 2006 British comedy-drama film adapted by Alan Bennett from his play of the same name. Filmed in my home town this hilarious and wildly inspiring film follows the poetic education of a group of lads from Yorkshire. It’s difficult not to love the childish romps these boys and teachers get up to in a quest to get into a good university.
Grease: Rydell High won a place in the World’s heart with the love of Sandy and Danny, John Travolta’s duck tail hair and Olivia Newton John’s skin tight bad ass pants. A sing a long upbeat classic that’ll get tunes stuck in your head for days.
American Pie: I can’t not list American Pie, yes it’s pure cheese and yes it’s ridiculously silly, but I have a thing for Finch >SWOON< American Pie is a lol tale of a group of teen boys misadventures with the opposite species, girls.

Napoleon Dynamite: I’m not sure any girl can resist the electrifying dance moves of Napolean Dynamite. From the rural town of Preston, Idaho, comes Napoleon Dynamite. With a ginger afro, moon boots, Tina the llama and illegal ninja moves, Napolean Dynamite is a new kind of hero.

Detroit Rock City: An all time favourite for any self respecting Kiss fan or any rock ‘n’ roll lover that dreamt of cutting school with your best mates in a quest for a rocking good time. Detroit Rock City follows four teenagers in a Kiss cover band who try to see their idols in Detroit in 1978. Epic.
The Craft: For any fellow teen goths this one is for you, it’s scary and difficult to turn off. A group of four girl outsiders summon up the dark side to perform magic on their arch enemies, but be warned; where there’s magic, there will be consequences!
Happy long weekend.
