With fall fast approaching, I’ve started to make little inroads into planning my winter wardrobe. Every year I vow to be more organised and dream of an electronic wardrobe a-la Cher from Clueless. With the electronic wardrobe a few light years away, I’ve instead neatly folded away all my high-summer dresses, shorts and mumus and in their place brought out my staple knitwear, fur coats and layering pieces.
Realising that all my winter clothes seem a little tired I’m slowly making lists of choice pieces I’d like to add to my fall wardrobe. You can follow my ongoing fall lust occurring via my Fall Style Inspiration Pinterest board.
On the days that I work from home I tend to do my best to avoid falling into the ‘freelance pyjama uniform’ and wear an equally comfy dress, one that doesn’t leave me feeling hemmed in and too overdressed when I take a mid-morning coffee break at one of my favourite coffee shops.
My latest comfy day dress and fall investment is the Voodoo Vixen Doreen Dress which comes in a ponte roma fabric, so it’s stretchy and warm, ideal for the changing seasons. I love the neck detail and the neat little collar. I teamed the Doreen dress with my red bow flats from Office and cardigan from Hobbs, pure comfort perfect for daily frolicking.
