We headed to Chaophraya Manchester for dinner and to try out their new menu. Chaophraya Manchester specializes in Thai cuisine and have devised a menu that can take you on a journey through the various culinary regions of Thailand.
Our waitress greeted us and talked us through the new menu explaining how each dish is inspired by their travels through Thailand. The concept of the new menu blends an eclectic mix of contemporary dishes with the old classics.
The ambience of the restaurant is very welcoming and relaxed, so friendly in fact we got seated on the table next to a girl we knew from our days living in London! -small world ey?
We started with the Thai Chicken Tacos (gf), which really were delicious.Theresa opted for the classic Chicken Satay, we shared both starters and enjoyed them thoroughly. The presentation of the food is very contemporary and tastes every bit as good as it looks.
For our main we enjoyed the Massaman curry which was lovely. We had dined at Chaophraya Manchester only once previously for our Mothers birthday and it was every bit as good as we remember.
Let’s get to the best bit, T H E C H O C O L A T E B O M B E ! The waiter came over to present the Chocolate Bombe, he poured melting hot caramel over the bombe to reveal the Thai whiskey ice cream, honey with toasted sesame popcorn centre. Need I say anymore?
Chaophraya Manchester is well worth a visit for a special occasion or just an indulgent dinner.
NOTE: The ladies toilets are also really beautiful (but I failed to get a pic) you’ll have to go to discover them for yourself..
