We were invited to the super exciting Blitz Vintage Department Store opening party last night, the all NEW vintage department store opened it’s doors to a flock of vintage lovers, celebs (highlight= Martin Kemp PURE GOLD, still got it, BELIEVE), avid bloggers and press dudes.
The Blitz Department store is full of very well-selected goodies. Upstairs is a very reasonably priced book section with delightfully comfy chairs ideal for reading and reclining. I bought the Mozipedia for £10 and Louis Theroux book for a mere £4 so I’m rather excited about reading those. High Five Me. There was a corner of sparkly, vintage beaded + sequin dresses (my magpie tendencies kicked in full force) where the fabulous Lady Luck DJ’d some classic vinyls.
I loved the selection of luggage, furniture and vintage fabrics upstairs too, oh and I rummaged through a basket full of scarves ( I bought x2 headscarves 2 for £5! they are incredible, amazing prints…pics to follow obvs).
Downstairs was a huge range of ladies wear mainly 60’s- 80’s prices were around £16-£30 for dresses, £20 skirts, cracking printed tees (including a baby blue Wham T-shirt & baby pink Take That T-shirt, Ideal) about £10-£15, slammin’ selection of shoes & bags £45 approx……there was also a massive menswear section with some fabulous knitwear, jackets and accessories.
The merchandising inside the Blitz Department store was beautiful, somebody had gone to some serious effort to roll up all the sleeves on each jacket, I really appreciated that, that dude must have graduated from the school of Abercrombie & Fitch, I love that, it’s all about the details.
If you’re in London and love vintage I would defiantly recommend Blitz, great store, excellent range, good prices, fantastic interior and cool vibes. Do it. x
