Happy New Year! As 2013 is finally upon us I thought I’d take a moment to focus on creating some New Years Resolutions. and share a few of my favourite ways for making dreams come true. I’m almost done writing my ‘100 Things To Do For 2013’. The New Year brings the perfect time for change, to do those things you’ve been promising yourself to do for ages, to take up a new hobby or just rejoice at the gift of a new year. I am so excited about about 2013!I’m a firm believer in visualising goals, sounds a bit hippy I know, but without a clear vision it’s difficult to work towards anything and picture all that is possible.
When I say ‘visualising’ what I’m talking about is picturing and making your dreams come true. Here’s a few little practical techniques to adopt when aiming to achieve your life goals. These are my all time favourite tips for visualising a goal.
1. Create a vision board- Pintrest is amazing for this, you can create vision boards until your hearts content! Here is my ‘Design: For The Home’ Pintrest Vision Board. I like to gather images that I love then you’ll be amazed at how you’ll see a vision form right before your eyes. Looking at your vision board will inspire you to continue building towards your dream everyday. My Sis & I created a moodboard before our travelling adventure and both contributed to it, these daily flurries of Pintrest excitement make the preparation for such a huge adventure even more fun. My ‘Design For The Home’ vision board is helping me to picture interior design, colours and ideas for my future home.
2. Share your vision- Talk to people about your vision, share your vision online, tweet, blog, sing from the rooftops about your vision, let people know what it is you are trying to achieve. What you give out, you get back. You will attract like minded people. If you share your passion you’ll find the Universe has a way of helping you along!
3. Put your vision to paper: If you’ve got a vision or a resolution, write it down.
My all time favourite tip to making sure you fulfill your dream is to write it down then spend at least 20minutes working out practical solutions of how you can make your dream a reality.
Work out what you need to do each day to build towards your dream. It maybe that you’re saving for a house and need to put some cash aside to save up or your trying to loose weight. Be practical, divide up your vision into daily activities that you have to complete.
What is your fabulous vision for 2013?
how will you be making it happen?
You are fabulous.
