So we’ve ben absolutely Vegas crazy here this week since The Fabulous Times ladies ventured off across the Atlantic to the almighty Viva Las Vegas Festival! To round off our week of Viva Las Vegas mayhem we wanted to share some of the behind the scenes fun from our adventure. Our Arrival: As soon as we stuffed our closets full of our Viva essentials we headed made our way to collect our festival wristbands. I was squealing at Christianne’s Boo the dog i-phone cover from Urban Outfitters as we rocked out in the back of Taylor’s car to some classic tunes.
The Car Show: We dolled ourselves up ready for the car show and Little Richard, I’m convinced one of the greatest parts of any night out is the getting ready bit. If you’re anything like us it always helps to have a friend on hand the wrestle with those false lashes, Theresa got a little help from Christianne. False lashes intact, red dress a-go-go we hit the car show flinging ourselves at anything red and shiney with four wheels.Vintage Shopping: The number of vintage traders was mind blowing with two huge rooms packed with anything from Layrite mens hair pomade to the most incredible Johnsons vintage style custom shoes made for dancing for both him and her all the way from Surrey England. We strolled around the stalls chatting to the vendors in between watching the bands play.
Pool Party: We had a little too much fun poolside posing in our favourite swimsuits and laughing uncontrollably our dear friend and one time Fabulous Times contributor Norma payed us a visit and brought us a bumper pack of moustaches (she knows us all too well) nothing like a bit of faux facial hair to break out all kinds of hysteria!! Freddie Mercury eat your heart out.
Fabulous people: One of the most incredible things about going to a rockabilly festival such as Viva is that you never know where in the world anyone is from, you can strike up a conversation and never know what accent s going to come out, German, American, British, Japanese, rock ‘n’ rollers travel from all corners of the globe to shop and hear their favourite bands. We met some truly fabulous people. HUGE thank you to our darling American friends for making our trip so much fun and big thanks to Tom Ingram and the organisers of Viva Las Vegas for hosting such a world class, wild event.
