Stress and anxiety is something that can affect anyone at various times in their life. Life can get pretty wild sometimes! Anxiety can be triggered by having too much demand on your time, being worried or scared about a situation, or just feeling overwhelmed. Whatever the cause, if it begins to be a problem in your everyday life, you need to get help. If you feel like you can still manage on your own, there are a few things that you can do to try and reduce the stress and anxiety that you feel:

Reduce Anxiety In Daily Life
Practice Mindfulness
Mindfulness is a self-care technique that you should make a little bit of time for every day in some way. Mindfulness is all about trying to pay more attention to what is going on in the present moment. It aims to make you more self-aware and help you to cope with how you are feeling in the moment instead of ignoring or avoiding it. Once you can do this, you will hopefully feel calmer and be able to treat yourself more kindly. There is a range of different activities that you can do to practice mindfulness. These include meditation, breathing exercises and yoga. There are also mindfulness apps that can help you with different mindfulness practices and can give you helpful daily reminders.
Have An Aromatherapy Moment
You can buy essential oil roll ons or aromatherapy balms to carry around with you. If you carry an aromatherapy balm in your pocket whenever you are feeling a little anxious or stressed you can just take it our an rub it onto your temple or wrist to help you to relax and reduce anxiety.
Carry A Fidget Toy
Having some sort of toy to play with when you are feeling stressed or anxious can help because it can have a calming effect and help you to filter out all the other sensory things that are contributing to your anxiety. They can also help you to focus more on your work so that you do not get distracted by anything else. Some examples of fidget toys you can buy to carry around with you are fidget cubes, worry beads, stress balls and toys, and fidget rings.
Keep A Journal
Keeping a journal can help you to recognise everything that you are feeling and enables you to write it down so that you can get it out of your head and understand things more clearly. It can help you to plan and rethink what is bothering you by trying to come up with solutions or different angles to the issues. Journaling can be something that you do for 5 minutes every day, or for however long you want whenever you feel like it. There is no right or wrong way to journal, and nobody ever has to read it, so you do not need to worry about what or how you are writing stuff down.
Make Time For Yourself
If you spend all of your time working and doing stuff for other people, you are not giving yourself the time that you need to relax, recharge and have fun. Make sure you try and put aside one or two evenings or a few hours a week where you do something that you enjoy. It could be attending a meditation class, learning a new skill, or just doing things that you find relaxing. To be able to show up for everyone else, you need to look after yourself first!
Hopefully these simple tips will help you to reduce anxiety from arising in your everyday and help to keep you calm.
Stay fabulous
